Terms of use
Effective date: October 24, 2026
What we provide
Passport Photo Online turns a photo you upload into a document photo: it crops and resizes the image, replaces the background and checks the result against the published requirements for the document you choose. Using the site means you accept these terms.
Acceptance by the authorities
Each passport office, embassy or consulate sets its own photo rules, may change them at any time, and decides on every photo itself. Our requirement data and checks are guidance, not a guarantee that a photo will be accepted. We are an independent service and are not connected to any government. Read the official instructions before you apply.
Your photos
Upload photos of yourself, or of someone who has agreed (or of your child, as parent or guardian). The photos remain yours. You allow us to store and process them only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.
What you may not do
Do not use the service to make false identity documents, to process someone's photo without consent, to upload unlawful material, or to overload or get around the limits of the service with automated tools. We may restrict access that breaks these rules.
Payments
The standard digital photo is free. Premium processing and extra uploads are paid; the price is shown before you pay, and the payment is handled by a third-party payment provider. If a paid photo is faulty or never reached you, write to us and we will fix it or refund the payment.
Liability
The service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses such as a refused or delayed application, travel costs or missed deadlines, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months.
Changes and contact
We may change the service and these terms; the effective date above shows the latest version. Questions: [email protected] or by mail to Passport Photo Online, 555 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94105.
